Very nice bread basket in classic interlaced form.
Inlaid into the base and sides are Hungarian 20-karat coins from 1833-1847 and a Patron Bavariae thaler from 1754.
The piece is most likely from mid-19th century Austria-Hungary or Germany, as indicated by the coins used to decorate the piece, and the 12-lattice (.750) proof punch often used in those countries.
Patina, tarnish.
