A beautiful pair of Art Nouveau candlesticks made by one of Warsaw's most famous manufactures, the J. Fraget company.
The candlesticks sit on quadrilateral, two-parted feet, the lower part of which is formed by walls with a grape leaf motif, with bunches on the legs. The upper part is formed by an arched foot divided horizontally by a motif of delicate branches with appliques in the form of grape bunches with leaves. The vaulted foot terminates in a quadrilateral column, under which an interesting ornamental thread with four medallions. The quadrilateral stem resting on a quadrilateral column, with two plates, ending with a quadrilateral small column. The lower plate decorated in a motif of medallions and leaves with delicate decoration, the upper plate in rhomboidal form decorated in four appliques in the form of grape clusters with leaves. The sleeve in the form of a quadrilateral cup supported on a quadrilateral column decorated with a delicate leaf motif. The function of the profitka is fulfilled by the paw feet leaning out, protruding above the vaulted sleeve.
On the side of the foot the punca of the master assayer Jozef Sosnkowski from 1891, as well as the punca of the goldsmiths' sterling silver (.875) and the two-headed Tsarist eagle.
On the leg the punca of the manufacturer FRAGET and the catalog number 2102.
