During the November Uprising (1830–1831), the National Government issued coins in denominations of 3 groszy, 10 groszy, 2 Polish zlotys, 5 Polish zlotys, an insurgent ducat and a 1 zloty banknote. The banknote was introduced into circulation pursuant to the resolution of the Chamber of Senators and Deputies of July 1, 1831. Pursuant to this resolution, the Bank of Poland was authorized to issue, in addition to the PLN 1 banknote, also a PLN 2 banknote for a total amount of PLN 10 million. Polish zlotys.
