Barbara Leszczynska is a visual artist and works as Barbara El. D. dissertation exhibition at the Gallery of the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, 2023, under the direction of Professor Janusz Akermann and assistant supervisor Ana Tomás Miralles of the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia. Author of 18 solo exhibitions in: United States (e.g. Phyllis Straus Gallery), France (Galerie Saluden), Spain (e.g. Feria de Muestras de Valencia), Italy (Labirinti Artistici), Poland ( e.g. in the Gallery of the Gdynia Film Center). Awarded in the 5th International Biennial Miniprint Laguna Paiva in Argentina (2022), winner of the President of Gdynia Galion Award (2020). Her prints are in the collections of China Printmaking Museum, Shenzen, China, Museo Artemio Alisio, Entre Rios, Argentina, Museo de Bellas Artes [Museum of Fine Arts], Rio Cuarto, Argentina, Comboni College of Science and Technology, Khartoum, Sudan, Istituto di Istruzione Superiore "Michele Giu", Cagliari, Italy, among others. Master's degree under the direction of Prof. Janusz Akermann 2017, at the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, annex under the direction of Prof. Zbigniew Gorlak. In her work she uses the figure of fantastic creatures, through which she often shows emotions that are universal to humans. Her inspirations are places visited, time spent together, cuisine, culture, nature and landscapes.
