Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow between 1946 and 1952 under the direction of Prof. Zbigniew Pronaszko and Zygmunt Radnicki. In her painting work she used mainly oil and gouache techniques, also drawing. From the very beginning, her work was autonomous and not tied to fashionable directions and trends. Critics emphasize her predilection for experimentation and the search for innovative forms of expression, which manifests itself in the abandonment of the classic rectangular format of works, the combination of heterogeneous plastic signs and the use, while maintaining her own individuality, of many disciplines of art. Danuta Leszczynska-Kluza has participated in dozens of individual exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as several hundred group exhibitions. Her exhibition debut took place in 1954, at the Fourth National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She represented Poland at the São Paulo Art Biennale in 1969 and the Venice Art Biennale in 1984. She has participated in numerous editions of the International Biennale of Graphics in Ljubljana, Lugano, Fredrikstad, Oslo, Tokyo, Ibiza and in all exhibitions of the International Biennale of Graphics in Cracow. The artist's works are in numerous museum collections, including Albertina Graphische Sammlung in Vienna, National Library in Warsaw, Jagiellonian Library in Krakow, Frederikshavn Kunstmuseum, Kinokuniya Gallery in Tokyo, Municipal Art Gallery in Lodz, National Museums in Warsaw, Krakow, Kielce, Wroclaw.
