Waldemar Pawlikowski is a painter, musician, composer, poet, curator. He graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Zielona Gora and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Torun. He defended his diploma in the studio of Prof. Mieczyslaw Ziomek. Since 2000, he has been running the "Ratusz" gallery in Gubin. Winner of the first prize in the Polish-German painting competition "Art and Environment" (Gubin-Guben 2017), winner of the main prize in the field of painting "Autumn Salon" of the 41st Open Art Review of the Lubuskie Voivodeship - Żary 2017. He works in oil and pastel techniques. He creates landscapes, most often riverside, maintained in an oneiric atmosphere. With skill he uses aerial perspective. Blurred forms and a color palette maintained in shades of gray, pink and blue give Pawlikowski's landscapes a melancholic character. A large role in the artist's works is played by light, which, although impermanent in nature, Pawlikowski, with an impressionistic flair, tries to keep on canvas. The artist's oeuvre can be combined with the tradition of realist and luminist painting.
