73 x 60 cm (frame 84 x 74 cm) Wanda Fik-Palkowa studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under the most eminent teachers: painting under Zbigniew Pronaszko, stage design under Andrzej Stopka and Jozef Szajna. She simultaneously practiced stage design and painting. Her work was appreciated by the aforementioned Professor Strzelecki in his compendium of knowledge Contemporary Polish Stage Design. WANDA FIK-PAŁKOWA Graduate of painting and stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She practices stage design and painting at the same time. Her artistic achievements include more than 60 stage design projects, a silver medal at the 5th International Triennial of Stage Design, Novi Sad 1978, a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art in 1978, gold medal at the 4th International Quadriennale of Stage Design, Prague 1979 (team), Creative Scholarship of the City of Cracow in 2022, works in the collections of the Cracow Museum and the National Museum in Gdansk, among others. She has participated in many painting and stage design exhibitions at home and abroad. |
