Hyacinth Alchimovich (Dziembriv, Belarus 1841 - France 1897) was the brother of painter Kazimir Alchimovich. He graduated from high school and a surveyor's school in Vilna. He took part in the January Uprising, then emigrated to France in 1864 and settled in Perpignan. He worked as a technical draftsman for the railroad construction company in Arcachon, Amélie-les-Bains and Perpignan.
In 1872 he began studying painting in Perpignan and later in Paris, where he became friends with Michel Elviro Andriolli.
He also benefited from the guidance of his brother Casimir, who was in France from 1876 to 1878. In 1876 he became a professor of drawing at the lycée in Perpignan, and later also taught at the local women's lycée and polytechnic school. For his teaching activities, he was awarded the title "oficier d'Académie" in 1892.
It is known that in 1897 he was still living in Perpignan.
He painted mainly in watercolor, creating landscapes, portraits and genre scenes. He exhibited mainly in France, including in 1864 in Toulouse, in 1879 and 1893 in Castres, in 1880 in Montpellier, in 1888 in Nîmes, in 1893 in Narbonne. He also exhibited at home, including in 1904 at TZSP in Warsaw.
