The work will be on view on 10.12.2022 (Saturday) from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Antiquarian Gallery at 25 Emilia Plater Street, 00-688 Warsaw.
Biography
Mieczyslaw Rakowski (1882 Więckowice - 1947 Brussels). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1905-1906 and 1908-1911, then traveled to Munich, Florence and Paris. In 1915 he left Paris for Belgium and settled in Namur. He practiced oil painting, which is characterized by rich texture and dark colors. He painted mainly landscapes and urban views.
