Biography
Polish metalworker, daughter of architect Bohdan Pniewski, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, also studied at the Academy in Krakow. She took part in the Exhibition of Young Visual Arts at the Warsaw Arsenal in 1955. Her works are in many foreign collections, including the Oppenheim Collection of Modern Polish Art in Los Angeles. She created paintings using her own techniques. The most characteristic features of Pniewska's work are the synthesis of avant-garde painting construction and the material outside the painting workshop - wood, sheet metal and nails.
