Biography
Visual artist, author of films, sculptor and stage designer. Born in 1980 in Warsaw. Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Faculty of Intermedia at the UAP in Poznań. Pustoła has developed a distinctive minimalist style, evident in his sculptural, stage design, film and performance works. He is the author of the documentary White Cube (2019), a film set in the poetics of slow cinema about revolutionary changes in stone processing techniques and the consequences of those changes. He is the author of marble sculptures, which he creates using direct cutting techniques. For years he has been associated with the Tuscan region of Massa-Carrara, where his stone sculptures and film works are created.
