Nikka not only produces world-class whiskey, but the story of its founding is so intriguing that it became the subject of a TV drama. Miyagikyo is its second distillery, founded in Sendai in 1969. A bottle of Nikka Miyagikyo Sherry & Sweet has been strictly selected from the finest malts, distilled and matured in a sherry barrel. The whisky is bottled at cask strength, the name of which fully hints at the dominant notes of the whisky, imparted by the large number of vintages matured in the sherry cask.
