The Polish Scouting Association, headquarters in London on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the scouting movement in Poland has issued a commemorative badge.
The badge has two grades, bronze and gold. This is the unknown silver variety.
The bronze badge was given to every scout and scoutmaster who was in scouting during this anniversary year regardless of the number of years. The gold badge was given to scouts, instructors and scout elders who had been in scouting for more than 10 years. It was also awarded to non-scouts who contributed to the development of scouting over the 50 years.
About 2,000 bronze and about 500 gold badges were issued, including a small number secretly in Poland.
The badge was designed by Scoutmaster Irena Paluchowa and made by Edward Kulikowski's company.
