The front of the badge in the shape of the Monte Cassino cross, with a Christmas tree superimposed (Symbol of the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division). Under the tree is the Tobruk badge, alluding to the division's origins with its origins in the Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade. On the upper shoulder is the abbreviation 3DSK, meaning 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division.
The reverse of the badge is plain with a threaded post without a cap.
