The circular medal on the front depicts a Polish eagle with a crown sitting on a sword with outstretched wings. The reverse depicts oak leaves and the inscription "Poland to its Defender."

Army medal awarded to Polish army personnel who fought in World War II, for outstanding deeds and sacrificial service.

The medal is made of brass with a diameter of 34.5 mm.
