Sweden Medal for Zeal and Devotion in Gold I Class 1945. Gustav V (1907-1950). Medalj för Zeal and Devotion. Instituted in 1803. Gold Grade; Gustav V (1907-1950). In Gold; engraved "GULD" (Gold) and dated "1945" on the edge. Averse: illustrating the left-facing bust of King Gustav V of Sweden; surrounded by the inscription "GUSTAV V SVERIGES GÖT O VEND KONUNG"; engraver marked "A.L." (A. Lindberg) at the base of the King's bust. Reverse: illustrating an oval wreath; engraved "TILL OSKAR FREDRIK BLÜCHER" below the wreath; surrounded by the inscription "FÖR NIT OCH REDLIGHET I RIKETS TJÄNST". Gold. Total weight: 15.26 measuring 27.5/25 mm (w) x 35 mm (h) inclusive of its bar suspension; original ribbon.
