Rare pattern of the S.57 E series with high overprint, without a dot after the R which was intended for the foreign market as evidenced by the lack of perforation.

Banknotes dated February 28, 1919, corresponding to the Sejm resolution to replace the Polish mark with the new zloty currency, were put into circulation on April 28, 1924, the banknotes show the Bank of Poland as the issuer, which did not yet exist in 1919.
