Stanislaw Wisniewski (1936 - 2016). From 1954 to 1960 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of Zbigniew Pronaszko and Zygmunt Radnicki. In 1965 he received a scholarship from the government of Yugoslavia, while in 1971 and 1983 he received a scholarship from the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York. In 1972 he began working at his alma mater, and was a lecturer at the Faculty of Painting, later at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. In 1990 he received the title of professor. In the last years of his life, the artist also worked at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Academy in Cracow. The painter was the founder and manager of the "Arkady" Gallery, operating at the Cracow BWA. He also belonged to the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, and was a member of "Kuźnica".
