Leather with gilt on spine and face, top edge of pages gilt.

On the protective card a handwritten dedication by Zdzislaw Tarnowski to Adam Doboszynski (1852 - 1929) - lawyer, landowner, in 1901-1907 member of the State Council. Commemorative book published in honor of Jan hr. Tarnowski (1835-1894), Speaker of the National Sejm of Galicia in 1886-1890, President of the Cracow Agricultural Society. It contains, among other things, a biography of Tarnowski, speeches delivered at the National Sejm, memoirs about him (by Kazimierz Morawski, Jan Stadnicki, Stanisław Koźmian, Wojciech Dzieduszycki) and a description of the funeral ceremonies.

Luxurious variant of the publisher's binding made in the Cracow bookbinding workshop of Piotr Repetowski (signed with a sticker): brown leather, gilded titulature on the spine, repeated titulature in the upper part of the face, below reflected in gold the Leliwa coat of arms of the Tarnowskis with the count's crown and the family motto: "Tendite in[!] astra viri", top edge of pages gilt, other edges uncut, paper lined marbled. Abrasions of the leather surface, otherwise good condition.

An impressive piece.
