JEWSIEWICKI Władysław - WARSAW POWSTANIE 1944 EYE OF POLISH CAMERA.
An extraordinary document of the valor and heroism of the Poles. Another custodian of Polish national memory. The publication is the fruit of the efforts of Home Army photojournalists and filmmakers active in the 1944 Uprising, who recorded the life of insurgent Warsaw. They documented both armed combat and the life of the civilian population. They immortalized on film the images of the streets of insurgent Warsaw, the houses destroyed by the Germans, the ruins, the ruins, the ruins, the people who may have perished minutes, quarters, hours later...This unusual album combines the written word with photographs and film frames. The author used the collections of the Archives of the Documentary Film Studio in Warsaw, but also the memories and accounts of insurgent photojournalists and filmmakers as well as studies of the 1944 Uprising by Adam Borkiewicz and Jerzy Kirchmayer, among others.
