Moneta według kurrencyi konstytucyą sejmową roku 1717 postanowioney wyrachowana. w Warszawie w druk. J.K.M. Colleg. Schol. Piarum 1722. 92 pages, period parchment cover (slight rubbing), format: 12º. Condition bdb.
An early and unknown edition of the provisions of the so-called Silent Sejm of 1717, concerning the establishment of a new reciprocal rate of the zloty, the tymph, the thaler, the grosz and other coins in circulation in the Republic. This was done by means of a series of tables, which show in a cumulative manner the ratio of the currencies in question - the zloty to the tynf, the thaler to the zloty and the tynf, the red zloty to the Polish zloty and the tynf, or the Prussian zloty to the tynf.
This edition is missing from the catalog of the National Library, nor is it listed in Estreicher's Bibliography. Very rare, most likely the only piece known.
First and second pages slightly joined together with very little damage to the text. Minor soiling and traces of moisture. Overall a very nice piece. On the first sheet a handwritten owner's annotation from the period - "God helps the one who calls on him for rescue" and initials.
