Description of the Republic from a series of so-called "small republics" published by the Officina Elzevirina in 1627 in pocket form, useful for travel. Thirty-five volumes depicting individual states were published. The edition was much appreciated in the world of the time due to the quality of its production. The work is a compendium of knowledge and news about the Republic in which we can find: Stanislaw Krzystanovic's Status Regni Poloniae, a fragment of Marcin Kromer's chronicle, fragments of descriptions of Poland and Wallachia, parts of Alexander Gwagnin's work on the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Samogitia and Prussia, texts on the Polish legal system, coins and taxes.
On the title page a copperplate engraving, characteristic of the Elzewirs,- under the title the royal coat of arms of the Vasa dynasty on the Polish throne with the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece, around the throne Polish and Lithuanian knights.
Condition of preservation very good: full leather with rubbing on the spine, pages definitely clean.
