[TESTAMENT]. Handwritten will of Jan Zeleski (Żeleski?) of Chyrow, signed 29 IV 1807 there.
Double-sided manuscript in Polish on 3 pages form. 36.6x23.6 cm. The testator, "being completely healthy in his senses and weak in his body," disposes that the house "with a chamber, an alcove, a bakery and a chamber consisting of economic buildings, such as a barn, a coach house, a stay house [...] with a yard and a garden" bequeathed to his two sons and a minor daughter. To his wife he bequeathed four horses (which he ordered to be sold immediately), five cows and one heifer. "Books all" he allocated to his sons, on condition that they "be used under the supervision of their Mother." He regards his brothers' claims to the inheritance as unfounded: "Those during my lifetime had time with me [...] to claim. But now the way of the Law remains for them". In item 9, the testator writes: "The whole of my closet, and as much as can be known, this is to be sold and the money distributed at the SS. Mass.". To his wife, in addition to the cows, he gives custody of the children. Under the text the signature of the testator and witnesses, some of whom (e.g. the mayor and the mayor of Chyrovsk) signed with a cross. Good condition.
