A pair of candlesticks

sterling silver, hallmarked (on both candlesticks sample 12 in square, on one additionally goldsmith's monogram partially obliterated - DD? in italics in rectangle,
on the other - 183[?] in rectangle); height 28.8 cm, width 13 cm, depth 13 cm.
Germany?, 2nd quarter of 19th century.
Candlesticks supported on square plinths, stepping up to circular, stepped feet decorated with a band of acanthus leaves on a grosgrain background, ending with an acanthus dome; faceted stems with a head of stylized acanthus leaves, on which a vase sleeve on a leg is set.
