Mariusz Dydo (born 1979). From 1994 to 1999 he attended the Artur Grottger PLSP in Tarnow and graduated from the Artistic Furniture Department. In 2004, he defended his diploma at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in the sculpture studio of Jerzy Nowakowski. In 1997-2003, he participated in the activities of Jacek Kucaba's Author Art Group - Ruchome Święto. In 2007, he opened his own sculpture and painting studio, where he has completed many contract commissions for private individuals, film, advertising, museums AND churches. In his work, he combines sculpture with design. He is inspired by classical form and pop-culture iconography, and reaches back to his childhood inspirations. He finds in them a link between, design and the primordial belief in animism. A link between the culture of the hunters of the Paleolithic era and the hunters of the hypermarket era.
