______
Ursula Despet has been making ceramics since 1991. Since 2007, together with her husband Grzegorz, she has been running an author's studio in Cracow. The main objects of their work are hand-painted sculptures, figurines and functional ceramics. The artists primarily create ceramic animals, such as horses, bulls, owls and elephants. The works are fired at 1150 degrees Celsius, as well as using the Raku technique, a traditional Japanese way of firing ceramics. All objects are signed. The artists have repeatedly taken part in various ceramics-related competitions and festivals.
