Biography
Studied at the Faculty of Painting Graphics and Sculpture with a specialization in Glass Design Study, under the direction of professors Maria and Stanislaw Dawski at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Wroclaw from 1963 to 1969. From 1968 (after obtaining his diploma) as a designer at the "Sudety" Glassworks, and from 1975 as a manager of the company's design center, later as a chief specialist. In 1986, he sets up his own studio "Glass Studio" in Polanica-Zdrój. He has presented his work in the field of applied glass many times at the International Fair in Poznan and the International Fair in Frankfurt am Main. He has exhibited his artistic glass at numerous individual and collective exhibitions at home and abroad. His works in the field of utility and artistic glass are in the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Wroclaw, the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Poznan and in museums in Jelenia Gora, Sosnowiec, Sandomierz and the Museum of the Kłodzko Land in Kłodzko and the Castle Museum in Książ, as well as in foreign museums: Antwerp (Belgium), Glasmuseet in Ebeltoft (Denmark), Valencia (Spain), Europäisches Museum für Modernes Glas des Veste Coburg in Coburg and Glasmalerei Peters Studios gallery in Paderborn (Germany), as well as in many private collections at home and abroad. Since 1969, he has been a member of the Union of Polish Artists. Since 1980, he has been a member of the Solidarity Trade Union.
