Wooden casing, covered all over with marquetry with motifs of leafy and flowered twigs; rectangular shaft, flared triangularly, at the bottom among floral motifs silhouette of a Gallic rooster; above, oval slide, covered with glass, with applied thin silver foil, with openwork image of a lamp with flame; on the sides masks - solar and lunar, and birds symbolizing dawn and night: rooster and owl. At the top of the oval window - an eagle supporting a drapery in its beak. The sides of the shaft with openwork draperies. Higher up the hood topped with an arch, with three bronze pinnacles in the form of flames; the front glazed, on the sides a pair of semi-columns with bronze heads. On the side walls closed with an arch, glazed slides. Shield made of iron sheet,
painted, square, closed with an arcade, in which an image of three sailing ships with French flags. On the dial Roman numerals and 4 painted roses; in the cornice also roses. Beautiful openworked brass hands. Weighted mechanism, with one large and two smaller scales on brass blocks. Bell face of iron, pillars supporting the plate of brass.
