Henry V, called the Younger, was prince of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbüttel from 1514 until his death. He was the last Catholic prince of the Welfan dynasty. He became famous for his location in the wars and many years of romance with his lover Eva von Trott. In 1556 he married Sofia Jagiellonka, daughter of Sigismund I the Old. It was a second marriage and remained childless.
