Woodcut print on ark. 12.3x8.6 cm. Cutter on waves formed from the pages of an old book. Composition by Tadeusz Cieślewski's son from 1942 (signed on the woodblock with the artist's own mark). Exlibris mounted on cardboard backing. On the reverse, own stamp. "J. F.". Good condition.
H. Majkowski - art historian, publicist, member of the Society of Book Lovers in Cracow, expert and collector of exlibrises. He had a library in Poznan containing professional literature and literary texts, numerous volumes with author's dedications. The book collection was destroyed after the Germans entered Poznan, most of the volumes went to waste.
