Franciszek Walczowski, painter, conservator of sacred objects. He was also engaged in theatrical scenography. His passion was anthroposophy. He made an attempt to artistically resurrect the prehistory of the Slavs, creating painterly visions referring to native myths and legends. Today he is popular among lovers of Slavic mythology, neo-pagans, and is sometimes called the "Polish Tolkien." The Ethnographic Museum in Cracow has 705 paintings, drawings and sketches by Walczowski.
