Steel engraving on ark. 6.2x8.8 cm. In the center Korczak coat of arms, around a stylized decorative rococo frame. The ex-libris was created around 1855. P. A. Wereszczynski, descended from the Kurland nobility, carefully educated, became famous in the 1870s with the concept of establishing a Polish colony (New Poland) on the Melanesian islands. In St. Petersburg he amassed a book collection of about 5,000 volumes in literature, geography, sciences. Ex-library detached from book, sheet slightly creased.
