Søren Aabye Kierkegaard ([ˈsœːɐn ˈkʰiɐ̯kəˌɡ̊ɒˀ]ⓘ[ˈsœːɐn ˈkʰiɐ̯kəˌɡ̊ɒˀ]) (born May 5, 1813 in Copenhagen, died. November 11, 1855 there) - Danish philosopher, Romantic poet and theologian, considered one of the forerunners of existential philosophy, especially its Christian current; sometimes called the "Socrates of the North." He influenced not only the development of 20th-century philosophy or theology, but also biblical studies, literature, art and even psychology.
In Diary of a Seducer we find words that are a characterization of the author himself: "He seems to be too spiritual to be called a mere seducer. (...) With the help of his spiritual powers, he has grasped how a young girl can be tempted and drawn towards him without trying to possess her in the strict sense of the word."
