Second edition (the first was published a year earlier) of letters of King John III Sobieski to his wife, Marie Kazimiera d'Arquien. A total of thirty letters (with the addition of a fragment of a letter to his mother by Prince James), including a letter in which Sobieski notifies Marysieńka of the Vienna Victory (the first page of this letter included as a lithographic print).
The work's publisher, Count Edward Raczynski (1786-1845), a Napoleonic soldier and bibliophile, is a man of outstanding merit for saving national memorabilia and cultivating the traditions of Polish statehood under the partitions.
