"Putting into print the second edition of this book, I want to remind you, Orphaned Little Pilsudnik, that although there is no Great Polish Resurrector among us - His Spirit rules and reigns over us. He taught all of us ( and you too!)-Independence, which we in our settlements with the partitioners are slowly beginning to forget. He taught us consent, gave us a strong government and a strong army - the terror of enemies, resurrected faith in us.... He told us not to die for Poland - but to live for her! About Poland today, and therefore about Him, will tell you in this book. Could your young, warm heart not love Him, Dear Little Pilsudnik?" From the introduction.
