Dembiński Henryk (1791-1864), Polish traveler, engineer and general. He was educated in Cracow and Vienna. During the November Uprising he held the position of deputy commander-in-chief. Participant in the battles of Debek Wielki and Ostroleka, he was appointed major general in August 1831. Governor of Warsaw. After the end of the uprising, he emigrated to France. In 1833-1834, inspector of the Egyptian army.
During the Hungarian uprising of 1849, as Field Marshal, he commanded the Hungarian Northern Army. Subsequently, he was appointed chief of staff to Commander-in-Chief Mészáros. After the defeat of the Hungarian army at Temeshwar, he left for Turkey and from there to Paris.
