TYRMAND Leopold - Seven distant voyages. A novel. London 1975. polish Cultural Foundation. 16d, pp. 224. broch.
Covers slightly dusty, otherwise good condition. Own stamp. Cover designed by Anna Hoffman. Crime novel set in Darlowo in the late 1940s. First Polish edition (the first English reprint of "Seven Long Voyages" appeared in 1959). According to the author's introduction, the book was first printed by "Czytelnik" on the wave of the post-October thaw, but the censors questioned the content of the novel as pornographic and supporting private initiative, the print run was destroyed.
