One of the most mysterious parts of World War II was the history of the creation of the German V-weapons (Wunderwaffe), which has now been explained. The solution of their secret tied the efforts of many intelligence of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition, including the activities of the Polish resistance movement. Recognition of the target of the research and the location of the rocket center^ in Peenemunde on the island of Usedom, made by the Polish intelligence cell of the Home Army as early as 1941, enabled the British to successfully bomb, following which the testing ground was moved deep into occupied Poland, to the village of Blizna. This facilitated to some extent the penetration of the development of V-weapons research, crowned by the capture of an almost complete piece of the V-2, dropped near Sarnaki on the Bug River. Parts of the rocket, together with technical expertise drawn up by Polish scientists, were transferred to London by a specially sent RAF plane.
