Description of work:
Bronislawa Rychter-Janowska's work was dominated by the motif of a Polish manor house, which was depicted by the artist in the setting of changing nature and seasons.
The painting on offer depicts a landed manor house surrounded by an extensive garden. The work has been expanded with a staffage in the form of two people sitting at a table situated on a terrace in front of the main entrance to the building. This composition, overflowing with light, delights with richness of color and subtlety in rendering various tones. Bronislawa Rychter-Janowska has exquisitely portrayed the aura of a conjunct autumn evening. The golden-brown leaves of the trees and the warmth of the setting sun enhance the idyllic mood of the whole.
The painter, in her characteristic way, created a composition filled with luminous effects, which in an idealized way depicts a world from which only warm memories remain.
