Mariusz Libel (b. 1978) has been active in the field of art in public space for many years. In 1998-2011, together with Krzysztof Sidorek, he formed the art group "Twożywo". Since 2011, he has been working on individual projects such as murals, illustrations, stencils, web projects, publishing and posters.
He represents urban-art and dasein engaged. In his work he combines philosophical reflection and critical reflection on contemporary social reality. He realizes projects on the borderline of conceptual poetry and graphic design. He is a laureate of the "Polityka" Passport (2006) in the category "Visual Arts" and a multiple scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Mariusz Libel has always (both in the days of the famous Twożywo group and now) touched on social and philosophical issues in his work. The artist exploits the ambiguity of words, behind which there are always important existential questions, framed in a characteristic typographic form. Mariusz Libel juxtaposes phrases with different meanings, deconstructing them, which gives the viewer the opportunity to read the content on his own and take the side he considers appropriate. Importantly, in the artist's works we will not find only one correct answer to the question asked. The viewer, without fear of being misunderstood, politically incorrect, or disbelieved, can give an answer only to himself or enter into a collective discussion with the community in which he lives. For Mariusz Libel's work is not intended to be a controversial commentary on reality. The artist's art is sensitive and sensitive to social problems, human perception and life experiences, of anyone who will interact with it, just as he is sensitive to relationships and intellectual exchanges with another person. This is particularly evident in the artist's method of creative work, which often works collectively, working in art groups: Pinocchio, Twożywo, Niczero, or together with others in the art world, such as Ursula Pieregończuk and enenek.
