Germany Saxony - Weimar Medal (1854). (D) Karl Friedrich 1828-1853 AE-Medal 1854; v.Ang. Facius. To 50 years of charity. The Weimar people called her the angel of the poor. sick and orphans. She advocated the establishment of a savings bank association to secure the livelihood of women. Maria Pawlowna Romanova (1786-1859) was the daughter of Tsar Paul I and the sister of Alexander I. She was politically active for the Grand Duchy (participation in the Congress of Vienna) and promoted art. (Goethe; Schiller; Herder; Liszt. etc. met at their farm) Diakov: 611.1. Copper.
