Pilot Eng. Rudolf Weigl born in 1914 in Yaroslavl. Graduate of Lviv Polytechnic, pre-war designer and technical manager of glider schools in Ustanova and Czerwony Kamień, participant in national glider and airplane competitions, prisoner of concentration camps. In 1948, he was transferred to Warsaw. In 1952 he died in an airplane accident near Szamotuly. Rudolf Weigl was the nephew of Prof. Rudolf Weigl, the inventor of the anti-typhoid vaccine.
