Biography
A self-taught contemporary abstract painter, she lives and works in Wroclaw. Her works reflect her perception of the world through the prism of neuroatypicality. In her art, she uses gestures, irregular lines and patches of paint to create expressive and emotional works. The subject matter of her works is usually evocative, exploring the complexities of the human mind, interpersonal relationships, emotions and neurodiversity. The artist applies media to canvas in a bold and intuitive manner, creating organic shapes and non-discursive composition. Her works are characterized by rich colors and contrasts, as well as subtle nuances and textural effects. She creates using mixed media techniques. She applies media to the canvas in an intuitive way, with brushing, dripping, throwing, scratching to achieve the characteristic effects of her unique style. Agnieszka Zapotoczna's art is often interpreted as an expression of emotions, inner experience and intimate experiences. Her works are sometimes difficult to interpret unequivocally, but at the same time they attract attention with their intensity and expressiveness.
