oil on canvas
Painter, stage designer, illustrator.
Her painting work centers around the issue of light, which is understood affirmatively. These are muted views, inducing contemplation. They are made in oil glazing technique - time-consuming, but allowing the artist to achieve her characteristic intensity and depth of color.
The main compositional figure here is a repeating triangle. Perhaps it becomes more pivotal than the centrally positioned tree. Triangles are present in light reflections, reflections, shadows and lines of railings and architectural details.
It's a dynamic composition that at the same time has a lot of coziness and intimacy. A warm plum-orange color scheme imbues the painting with luminosity and depth.
One can argue what is more important here: the reflections of light on the wall or the horizontal rhythm of the building or the title silhouettes of the birches.
The painting was presented in two exhibitions: "Windows" at Tlen Gallery in Warsaw and "Marginalia" at bwa City Gallery in Bydgoszcz. Painted using oil laser technique.
