Polish painter and stage designer. He studied in 1913-1914 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Jacek Malczewski, in 1915-1922 at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts with Edward Trojanowski and in 1922-1923 in Berlin with Alexander Archipenko. Later he stayed in Paris. A member of the Blok group and the Praesens group.
