142 x 100, charcoal, acrylic, gold paint on cardboard, framed painting (black frame), 2016.
Aleksandra Wiszniewska - born 1972 in Wroclaw, Poland. The artist graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (1997) at the Faculty of Interior Design and Industrial Design, where she studied drawing and painting in the studio of Prof. Konrad Jarodzki. On her path of searching for expression, emotionality in her drawings, she follows the characteristics of coal as a tool used in the times of cave drawings. In her works, chiaroscuro is not so much important as the line itself, the contour. Often filled with color, it conveys the impression of movement, exposes hidden emotions. With thickening lines, she leads the viewer through points of tension, where the line loops and vibrates to the places of the final statement - the metaphorical dot.
