Acrylic, cardboard, 50 x 65 cm, Signature (obverse) p.d. corner A.Troc, 2017, (reverse) "Pegasus"
"Pegasus" is a 2017 work by Andrzej Troc, exemplifying the artist's penchant for surrealistic abstractions executed using mixed media techniques on fabriano paper and canvas. The color scheme of the work is soothing pastel colors that will fit perfectly into most modern interiors.
Andrzej Troc (1953r) I was born and live in Zielona Gora. I have been interested in art for a long time, but numerous twists and turns in my life distanced me from my own work. However, I have now been working systematically creating for 13 years. I am self-taught, I independently struggle with workshop difficulties and breaking patterns, I am constantly looking for new solutions. I call my work drawing with paints. It gives me great pleasure. In this respect, I am a lucky person. This is my passion, and this is how my life has worked out so that I can devote myself to it entirely. Over the years I have acquired a diverse experience, which greatly influences my work. A note of irony, absurdity and dreams often seen in a distorting mirror, deformed, bizarre, caricatured "monsters" are among the many themes explored in my works. A glimpse into primitive social behavior, balancing between bad and good, paranoia and beauty are the sources of my inspiration. Please note that the sides of the paintings on a stretcher bar (the so-called painting loom), are not damaged by: splashes from paint (e.g., on the unpainted side of the painting), traces of the plates attaching the stretcher to the frame (so-called flexes) or unevenly cut canvas. The above are not grounds for complaint, as they are not the obverse and reverse of the painting.
