* A fee will be added to the object resulting from the so-called droit de suite, i.e. the right of the creator and his heirs to receive remuneration from the professional resale of original pieces of the works. The fee will be calculated when the equivalent of the amount auctioned exceeds PLN 1,000. Up to PLN 500,000 it is 5% of the amount auctioned, and above 500,000 it is 3% of the amount auctioned. In Poland, droit de suite is regulated by Articles 19-195 of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights of February 4, 1994, as amended, in accordance with Directive 2001/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of September 27, 2001, in force in the European Union, on the author's right to remuneration for the resale of an original piece of art.
