Painter, university teacher, studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He received his diploma, in the specialty of architectural painting, in the studio of Prof. Władysław Jackiewicz in 1969. In 1969-1971, he was employed as a trainee assistant at the Studio of Painting Techniques of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk at the Faculty of Painting. In 1970 he was awarded First Prize at the National Festival of Young Painting in Sopot. Since 1971, he was a research and teaching employee (full-time assistant) of the State Higher School of Fine Arts, later the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. From 1973 to 1977 he worked as a senior assistant. From 1974 he was an assistant in the Drawing Studio of the Department of Basic Education of the Painting Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1978 to 1989, he held the position of assistant professor, and independently led the Studio of Painting and Drawing at the Pedagogical College of the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1982, he was an assistant professor in the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Painting. Since 1983, he independently led the Studio of Specialization of Wall Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. In 1988, as a docent, he took over the independent Studio of Wall Painting. From 1989 to 1991 as a docent. Since 1991-director of the Studio of Wall Painting at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk and associate professor. In January 1997, he received the title of professor from the hands of Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski.
