Two periods can be distinguished in the artist's work. In the first, the color scheme of the works is reduced to black and white, while the texture of the paintings is built up from complex forms. The second period is characterized by a return to colors and abandonment of organic shapes. Geometric compositions attract attention with attention to harmony, aesthetics based on simplicity, precision in the construction of the composition and extraordinary luminosity coming out of the often monochromatic canvases. The painter has received many prizes and awards for his work, including the main prize at the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting (Szczecin 1972), the Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art at the Third National Exhibition of Young Graphics (Poznań 1973), the Critics' Prize at the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting (Szczecin 1974) and the Third Degree Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art for special achievements in the field of teaching and education (1980). His works are in the collections of many museums in Poland and abroad. The artist's paintings can be found in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Poznan, the Museum of Art in Lodz, the Museum of History of the City of Lodz and the Silesian Museum in Katowice, among others.
